Top Five Tips for a Budget-Friendly Disney Vacation by Craig Smith

Disney World is a much sought-after destination for family vacationing. However, with all of the activities and sights to see at the Magic Kingdom, the bills could pile up as high as Space Mountain. Even with the tightest wallet, a family of four could spend thousands to see Cinderella’s Castle. If you and your family are planning a trip to Disney World, saving every penny will allow you to see more parks and spend more time in the Kingdom. A budget-friendly Disney vacation can be yours – and these five tips can help make that a reality!

Tip #1: Go for the package deal.

Millions of people visit Disney World each year. So, of course, Disney has a number of package deals available to help make your stay more convenient. Many people opt to instead stay in other non-Disney hotels, plan budget meals, and so forth, but the truth is that you can save a lot of money by simply making your trip centered on Disney. The packaged deals they offer really do help you save money.

Tip #2: Compare your travel options.

Some families choose to drive instead fly when going on vacation. However, with gas prices through the roof, this may not be the best option. It depends on a number of factors including the efficiency of your car, the distance to Orlando, the size of your family, the ages of your children, and the time of year during which you plan to travel. If you have a small family, want to travel during the off-season, and live far from Florida, heading to the airport may be your best choice.

Taking a train or bus to get to Disney World is another option many families choose. A bus or train is a great choice if your children are older and you live within a reasonable distance from Orlando. The key to finding the best price is to research and compare options. If possible, also work with a travel agent to find the best prices in a package deal or group discount. If you want to make the most budget -friendly choice for your Disney World vacation, be sure to explore every travel option before packing your bags.

Tip #3: Check into Disney Club prices for accommodations.

Some families visit Disney World more than just once, and, if your family qualifies, being a member of the Disney Vacation Club can save you money. This club is not equivalent to owning a timeshare with Disney, but you get “points” for your membership, which can then be redeemed at any one of their many club resorts, which are only available to club members. It is important to note that this is not a real estate investment. It is simply a way to save money and make the most of a Disney World vacation if you live nearby and plan to travel to the Magic Kingdom more than once..

However, even if you don’t have the resources to do that, the Disney Club may be able to help you. Points expire after a certain period of time, so if a member cannot make it to Disney, it is possible to sell the points. Once you purchase these points, Disney accommodations become available for a reduced rate! Do your research, and, if the points can help you save, buy some for your family vacation.

Tip #4: Buy a meal plan and eat off-site for the meals not covered.

Food is expensive in the Magic Kingdom, and, you are not permitted to take your own food into the park. If you plan to spend the entire day exploring Disney World’s parks, you will most likely dine at them as well. While time may fly when you’re having fun, hunger does not, so consider one of Disney’s meal plans, which is part of the vacation packages they offer. With the meal plans, you pay one set price for a certain number of dinners and snacks per day. That means you can get more for your money! Another option is getting your hand stamped and leaving the park for lunch. Orlando does have some great family options that are less expensive than food in the park itself. So, perhaps this would be the best option for your family.

Tip #5: Buy Disney Dollars online.

Disney Dollars are exchangeable at a 1:1 rate, but only in Disney itself. You can use them for most souvenirs and food in the parks, as well as in some non-park stores. Many people like to buy Disney Dollars to give their children a “Disney allowance” for items at the park, which is a great idea. However, if you buy them online ahead of time, it is possible to save some money. Because Disney Dollars cannot be used anywhere else or exchanged back to regular dollars, people who have them left over usually sell them for less than a 1:1 rate.

Disney World can fill your imagination but it does not have to empty your wallet in the process. There are many affordable options you and your family can take advantage of in order to place this vacation in your price range. Do your homework, do some research, and you should be able to find a Disney World option that works for best you. Above all else, have a great time, and enjoy your stay in the Magic Kingdom!

Pool Tables: Fun For All The Family by Kirsten Whittaker

Having your own pool table at home can be a very rewarding step for any homeowner. The pool table, along with your favorite pool accessories, will not only help you unwind, but it will also provide quality entertainment for your guests. Instead of going to a local bar or pub you can invite people at home for drinks and a game of pools. For your home use you can pick any table you like, even an antique Brunswick pool table which you will rarely see in a bar. And of course you can always use your own pool table to perfect your pool skills.

The first step to enjoying your own pool table would begin with creating a specific room for pools where you can create the perfect ambience for the game. If you don’t have the space for a separate room to house your pool table, you can place the table in the dining room or even in a basement. A little-used shed or garage can also make the perfect pool room, and with a proper lighting and décor you can create a pool room for little money.

Pool tables vary in size and design, which allows choosing the right table to suit your lifestyle and the style of your home. The most famous pool table maker, Brunswick, has several collections of pool tables, such as Casual, Classic, European, Antique, or Contemporary. Brunswick pool tables can also be custom-made in a variety of finishes.

Many people today opt for antique Brunswick pool tables, which add a stunning retro accent to any home. Brunswick has manufactured pool tables for over a hundred years, and many of their pool tables now reside in homes, museums and collections all over the world. Over 130 different Brunswick pool table models have been handed down through generations with only slight changes in wood, finish, inlay and detailing.

The value of antique Brunswick pool tables varies greatly, since every antique pool table, especially if it is made of exquisite wood and features elaborate decorative details, depends greatly on the market. Many auction houses sell antique pool tables, like any antique painting, piece of furniture, collectible automobiles or any other collectable item.

In addition to the pool table made by a reliable manufacturer, you can equip your pool room with stylish pool-related furniture and accessories such as cue racks, cues, lights, bar stools, antique-looking posters, signs and chalkboards – anything you have seen in the pub or bar around the pool table.

To keep your table in mint condition you should take good care of it. Pool balls should be regularly cleansed with a soft dry cloth. The cloth can be cleaned with dry fabric cleaner in a spray or powder form.

In a modern fast-paced world it can be hard to find time for family activities. Properly decorated, a pool room with a beautiful new or antique pool table will soon become a social center and an entertainment room for everyone in your family no matter what the weather outside is doing. You can spend more quality time with your family and friends, since playing Pools is a great way for your guests to mingle and relax. Pools’ is a classic game and a stylish and well-coordinated pool room will enhance the value of your property.

Implement Cycling in Your Family Fun Time by Ajeet Khurana

I am all for progress, but when I see how poorly families fare when it comes to balancing work and home, I feel sad. When you have two parents that both work and children busy with school and extracurricular activities, there is a serious likelihood that quality family time might get overlooked. In our busy society, family fun time is not prioritized ahead of the rest of family life which can lead to parents missing out on precious moments and milestones with their children. I think it is sad when parents plan family time with the precision of a factory process. Just knowing that Mom and Dad are making a point to spend time with the kids can often be all the assurance children need to feel part of a cohesive family unit.

Parents can involve themselves in the development and growth of their children by adding family fun time during the weekends when the ‘busies’ are a little more scarce than they are during the busy work week. Sports, games, walks, treks or other forms of physical activities can be the ideal family activity. Physical activity is good for both children and adults, and if children can get active at an early age, they will be much less prone to problems such as obesity.

Cycling is a wonderful way to get the family involved in a group activity and every member of the family can participate regardless of their age. For children that are too young to ride a bike, get a seat or carrier installed on your own bike to give your child that connection and bond during family fun time, even if they are not physically able to do the activity. As children grow, use tricycles and then training wheels and then ultimately a two wheeler bike for the big kids to ensure everyone can participate in family fun time. There is no better joy than watching a child learn how to ride a bike all by themselves, and if the entire family can participate in this event, then that child will not only pick up a new skill, but some wonderful boosts on self-esteem and confidence as well.

Whenever you and your family have the opportunity to spend time outside for your family fun times, you can and you should. Think of cycling. It is fun and is something the whole family can enjoy. Even the babies and young children will be rewarded from this activity by being positively influenced by their parents on the merits of regular physical activity and regular time spent with the family. Do not be so un-creative to think that cycling can only take place in your backyard. Install a bike rack on your vehicle so that even when you are on vacation you can enjoy this wonderful activity together as a family.

As an adult, they will look back on these times and memories with fondness and the memories of cycling with the family will influence them positively in their lives. Securing happiness childhood and adulthood for one’s children is what great parenting is all about.
