The Nintendo Wii Is Good Family Fun by Michael Pratt

One thing that we all need to deal with as families is the generation gap. This is something that tends to separate us from one another and to make it difficult for us to be able to interact on a regular basis. One way in which this generation gap has often showed up in recent years is in the games that we play. This has all really changed, however, since the new Nintendo Wii console came out. As a matter of fact, owning this game system may actually give you the opportunity to enjoy some family fun together.
The Nintendo Wii is the most innovative gaming system to come out to date. Most of us are probably used to sitting back on the couch with the controller in our hand and moving things around on the screen with our thumbs and fingers. The Nintendo has really overcome this with a unique gyroscopic handheld control system that allows us to play the games interactively. This has opened up a number of different methods of gameplay that simply were not available before.
Even just the basic game that comes with the Nintendo console itself has a variety of different sports games available that allows us to get off of the couch and get interactive. A good example of this is the bowling game that comes as a part of the Wii sports package. In order to bowl, you would actually stand up with the controller in your hand and mimic the movements that you would make in order to roll the ball down the lane. If you twist the controller to the right or the left, you will put a spin on the ball, much the same as you would at an actual bowling alley.
